The Coffret Du Point à l'Univers de Krug is a limited edition that includes three bottles from the Krug Champagne House. The boxed set consists of :
- one bottle of Krug: Clos du Mesnil 2002
- one bottle of Krug: Vintage 2002
- one bottle of Krug: Grande Cuvée
The 2002 Clos du Mesnil's colour is brilliant and has a magnificent golden aspect. The nose releases aromas of citrus fruits, white pepper, spices, roasted nuts and brioche. The palate is precise, pure and fresh, showing tension, liveliness and beautiful balance. There are hints of peaches, oranges, citrus, licorice and a long finish.
The 2002 Vintage de Krug has a beautiful brilliant golden colour. The nose is charismatic and fresh, with rich and complex fruit fragrances. One can smell notes of oranges, chocolate biscuit and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is precise, fresh, tasty and balanced. It asserts itself with flavours of red fruits, white fruits, citrus fruits, honey, cocoa beans, toast and smoke on an expressive finish. A champagne of great depth.
The Grande Cuvée Krug delivers an incredibly intense bouquet with ripe and round aromas of hazelnut and toast, but also more floral and delicate touches. On the palate, the flavours are reinforced and magnificently highlighted thanks to a refined effervescence of great finesse. The finish shows freshness and intensity, inscribing this wine in an exceptional harmony.
