Description
2014 Pessac-Leognan Rouge, Bordeaux.
The Chateau La Garde comes from a 53-hectare vineyard (planted 250 years ago) led as reasoned viticulture. This 2014 is a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.
The wine reveals a dense and deep ruby colour. The nose is strong, fresh and reveals a smoke note, typical of the Pessac-Leognan. The amplitude on the palate is developed on a rather dense tannic structure. The 2014 Chateau La Garde offers toasted notes which reveal a perfectly integrated wood and a palate that evolves towards a strong finish. This greatly balanced wine pays tribute to the outstanding Pessac-Leognan terroir it comes from.
