Description
A balanced and structured white wine from Chassagne-Montrachet
The Chassagne-Montrachet Chassagne-Montrachet Village "Château de Chassagne-Montrachet" of Domaine Bader-Mimeur is a Chardonnay white wine produced from vines aged 35 years on average, on clay-limestone soils. The aging of the wine is carried out in French oak barrels (of which 20% are new), for 12 months and with regular stirring.
The Chassagne-Montrachet Village "Chassagne-Montrachet Castle" 2014 of Domaine Bader-Mimeur displays a pretty bright yellow colour. The nose, a bit discrete in its youth, releases fragrances of white-fleshed fruits and subtle notes of petroleum on a mellow woodiness. The wine is superbly tense on the palate, offering a balanced finish and a beautiful structure that gives it a very good aging potential. This wine will reach its peak around 2023-2025 and should be kept until 2025-2030.
