Description
The 2009 Domaine du Coulet Billes Noires is composed of Syrah grapes that grew on "Gore" terraces -damaged granite- in the Cornas appellation. The old Syrah vines are on average 55 years of age and are grown under the rules of the biodynamic viticulture by Matthieu Barret and received the Ecocert certification. The wine displays an almost black-tinted bright red colour. On the nose, it is a strong and very aromatic wine on very ripe fruits such as cherry, raspberry or blackberry but also on minerality, with a beautiful expression of the granitic soil. The palate is voluptuous, rich and sunny in this 2009 vintage.
