2014 Medoc from Bordeaux
The 2014 Medoc Chateau Rollan de By frankly expresses both floral and dark berry fragrances. The wine reveals a more unique character on swirling, with a graphite mineral hint and a light woody note that does not erase the fruit. The palate is concentrated with a good density on strong, but not coarse tannins. The finish is refined and proves the balance of the wine.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Chateau Rolland de By has a lovely nose that is beautifully defined with ample redcurrant and wild strawberry fruit knitted into some quality oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well judged acidity, nicely focused but clearly needing a couple of years to fully assimilate the oak on the modern style finish. This is well-crafted and packed full of flavor. Tasted September 2016.
