Description
2009 Barolo, pure Nebbiolo from Piedmont.
The Barolo Via Nuova cuvee of Chiara Boschis is a 100% Nebbiolo, located on Terlo hill. It enjoys a 2 year ageing in French oak barrels, and then a year in bottle ageing before being realeased on the market. This 2009 Via Nuova of Chiara Boschis is intensely red coloured with orange highlights. On the nose, it gives off dried flower, spices, red berry strong fragrances, or even almond notes. On the palate, this 2009 Via Nuova is dense, the tannins are velvety and the finish persistent. The latter is marked by violet and vanilla notes. This wine can be tasted already, yet it can be kept from 15 to 20 years in order to fully open up.
