Description
A delicate and aromatic rosé wine from Provence revealed by Domaines OTT
The estate
The young Alsatian agricultural engineer, Marcel Ott, moved to Provence in 1896 with the ambition for this vineyard to produce great wines despite being ravaged by phylloxera.
Today, the OTT family is perpetuating this know-how to produce a range of rosé, red and white Provence wines from three estates: Château de Selle, Clos Mireille and Château Romassan.
Created by René Ott in 1903, the iconic and immediately recognisable Domaines Ott bottle showcases the quality of great Provence wines.
Domaine Ott joined the Louis Roederer house in 2004.
Winemaking and ageing
The Côtes de Provence BY OTT rosé 2020 by Domaines OTT is made from a rigorous selection of grapes, which are then received in Château de Selle’s new cellar before being sent to the winery, exclusively reserved for the production of this By Ott rosé.
Blend
The Côtes de Provence BY OTT rosé 2020 cuvée by Domaines OTT is the product of a blend of Grenache (60%), Cinsault (28%), Syrah (8%) and Mourvèdre (4%).
Tasting
Colour
The wine is a bright, tinted peach pink.
Nose
The delicious nose mixes aromas of white peach and exotic fruits with notes of vanilla. A subtly spicy, lemony touch, evoking everlasting flowers.
Palate
Full-bodied and beautifully sweet, the palate seduces with its freshness and persistence up to a finish with notes of citrus and yellow fruits.
