Description
Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Folatieres 2015 from Jean Chartron : a very fruity white wine
A white wine made exclusively with Chardonnay in the Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru appellation, the Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Folatières by Jean Chartron was produced from vines planted in clay-limestone soils. The fermentation takes place in oak barrels with a proportion of 30% new barrels and 70% barrels with 1 to 5 previous uses. The ageing is done in barrels on fine lees for 12 months, before continuing in tanks for 4 months.
The Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Folatières 2015 by Jean Chartron presents a brilliant gold colour at the tasting. On the nose, it reveals explosive notes of balsamic (juniper) and flowers (mimosa). On the palate, we can observe strong fruity flavours. The dry extract makes it possible to perfectly identify the character of the wine. Blessed with a fantastic potential for guard, the Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Folatières 2015 should nevertheless be consumed before 2021.
This comment is intended to describe the general profile of the wine at one given moment. Note that over time, the wine (which necessarily evolves in the bottle) may develop other organoleptic qualities.
