Description
The elegant power of an exceptional Saint-Julien
As a brand in its own right, the Petit Lion 2017 de Las Marquis de Las Cases was first made as the 2007 vintage. It comes from a selection of young vines planted on the extraordinary terroir of the prestigious Second Grand Cru Classé Château Léoville Las Cases. Its personality makes it a beautiful vintage from the Left Bank in the Bordeaux region.
The Petit Lion 2017 du Marquis de Las Cases is a beautiful revelation from the Saint-Julien appellation, which is a success crafted through masterful hands from a vintage of contrasts.
The Petit Lion 2017 du Marquis de Las Cases respects the château’s philosophy and reveals all the typicity of the appellation. The blend emphasizes the suppleness of Merlot (52%), the elegant finesse of Cabernet Franc (14%) and the powerful structure of Cabernet Sauvignon (34%).
The charming Petit Lion 2017 du Marquis de Las Cases seduces the eyes with its deep purple colour. The aromatic intensity of the bouquet springs from the glass to reveal concentrated crème de cassis and blackberry perfumes. With aeration, graphite notes from the tip of a pencil come forth from the bouquet as well. The vivacious, energetic attack reveals a supple texture structured with tannins that coat the mouth. The soft fruit lingers elegantly to give a long finish. A wine that walks in the footsteps of the estate's first wine.
