Saint-Joseph Caroline 2014 de Louis Chèze : a red wine with great amplitude

Saint-Joseph Caroline by Louis Chèze is a single-varietal Syrah red wine produced in the Saint-Joseph appellation. With an average age of 40 years, the vines are planted 300 meters above sea level on granite and muscovite soils. The wine is aged in barrels for 14 months, with a proportion of 20% new barrels and 80% barrels of one or two previous wines.

At tasting, the Saint Joseph Josephine 2014 by Louis Chèze displays a bright garnet colour. The nose releases floral fragrances (violets) mixed with peppery notes. On the palate, the wine shows great strength and power, revealing a beautiful aromatic persistence on the finish.
