2010 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru

Chevalier-Montrachet and Montrachet parcels are located on the same hill, with Chevalier-Montrachet at the top. Louis Latour's 2010 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Les Demoiselles reveals a green-tinted, pale yellow colour. Almond paste and vanilla scents. Very generous, full-bodied, with subtle hints of wood on the palate. This Burgundy impresses with toasted, vanilla length leading to a coconut finish.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. Sporting the deepest color of the Chevalier-Montrachet 2011s, Louis Latour's Demoiselles has a very exotic bouquet with ripe mango and tropical fruit, with peach skin and pithy pear coming through with aeration. The palate is rather worked in the winery with slightly heavy-handed oak, and it is missing tension and grace on the finish. To be frank, this is shown up in a peer group tasting - it should be much much better than this.
