Produced by Louis Latour in the appellation of Criots-Batard-Montrachet, this Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is produced on just 1.57 hectares.

A mature nose of pear compote, burnt orange peel and toasted nuts displays intriguing complexity. The 1999 vintage has aged quite nicely, with an attractive weight on the palate, and is not lacking in acidity. The pear notes on the nose are complemented by touches of almonds, brioche, and butter. Better served with a meal than as an aperitif, this would marry well with a creamy chicken dish. Tasted in February 2017.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The toasted mineral-scented 1999 Criots-Batard-Montrachet is medium-bodied, bright, and juicy. Spices, pears, apples, and white/red berries make up this wine's flavor profile. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2008.
