Description
A fine and structured white wine from Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Truffières" of the Maison Louis Latour is a single-varietal Chardonnay white wine produced in the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru appellation. The plot "Les Truffières" is located near the top of the hill. It owes its name to its former function, which as the name indicates, was a place where truffle grew. The average age of the vineyard is 35 years, with a base consisting of limestone, scree and marl. The wine is aged in oak barrels (50% in new barrels) for 8 to 10 months on average, depending on the vintage.
At tasting, the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Truffières" 2006 of the Maison Louis Latour develops on the nose fruity fragrances (apricots) and subtle toasted notes, along with a great roundness. This wine shows finesse and a wonderful structure. Consume now.
