The Monier de la Sizeranne Hermitage reflecting the attention to detail and accuracy applied to all wines of the M. Chapoutier House. Produced out of a patchwork of plots from the local granite terroir "les Bessards", from ancient terraces of gravel and pebbles of the "Méal" and from silty areas of "les Greffieux", this Syrah really stand as the soul of a good Hermitage.
Globally speaking this vintage has largely reached its perfect plenitude, so this wine displays beautiful ruby garnet red hues and exhales full fragrances of liquorice, little red fruits (raspberry, cherry), laurel sage and blackcurrant. After swelling it appears spicier. On the palate it still enjoys a good balance, at the same time a nervous attack, a luscious mid-palate (the macerated fruit with mixed hints of pepper), delicately structured. The finale is nice with a very respectable length. Ideal on a loin of lamb or other meat of character!
