A Mineral Wine from Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet
The Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a single-varietal Chardonnay wine produced by Maison Louis Latour. The total production area of the estate is 3.68 hectares in the Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet appellation, making it one of the smallest Grands Crus in Burgundy.
At the tasting, the Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 1998 of Maison Louis Latour offers a deep lemon colour. The nose is quite concentrated with aromas of straw, vanilla and creamy fruit. On the palate, the wine reveals ripe fruit essence with mineral flavours and a superb balance between melted tannins, fresh acidity and a powerful finish.
