The estate
Founded in the mid-1990s by Stéphane and Sandrine Robert, Domaine du Tunnel extends today over a dozen hectares in the Northern Rhône Valley, between the Cornas, Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph appellations. A passionate self-taught winemaker, Stéphane Robert trained with renowned Rhône winemakers such as Bernard Gripa. The estate's name comes from a 150-meter long railway tunnel, converted into an ageing cellar in 2014. Focusing on manual work and respectful vinification, the estate produces concentrated and silky wines, making it an essential reference in the Northern Rhône Valley.
The vineyard
The Pur Blanc 2023 comes from a small clos of century-old vines in the heart of the Saint-Péray appellation, in the l'Arzalier lieu-dit.
Winemaking and ageing
Fermentation of the Pur Blanc 2023 begins in stainless steel tanks until the onset of alcoholic fermentation. The wine is then aged for ten months in barrels.
Grape variety
This Rhône Valley wine is produced exclusively from Marsanne.
