Description
The elegance and freshness of a red wine from Burgundy
The estate
Founded in 1797, the House of Louis Latour is today represented by the 11th generation with Louis-Fabrice Latour at its head. As a wine merchant and producer, the House of Louis Latour owns the largest estate of Grand Crus in Burgundy.
The vineyard
"Les Epenots" is a Pommard wine 1er cru made from vines averaging 30 years old, resting on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification and aging
Once the manual harvest is done, fermentation is carried out traditionally in open vats with 100% malolactic fermentation. The aging of 10 to 12 months is carried out in French oak barrels (35% new) from the cooperage of the House of Louis Latour.
Blend
Pinot noir (100%).
