The Precision and Structure of a Spanish White Wine
The Estate
Established in the Salnés valley in Meaño at the heart of Rías Baixas, Bodegas Vionta is part of the Freixenet-Henkell group. Founded in 2013 in Rías Baixas, the estate has established itself over a decade as a benchmark for Albariño, with wines ranging from lively and approachable styles to cuvées of great complexity. Located in Meaño, facing the Ría de Arousa, the bodega draws on the humid climate and sandy soils to impart a characteristic salinity to its wines.
The Vineyard
Albariño Sobre Lias is produced from vines thriving mainly in the Salnés valley within the Rías Baixas appellation. This terroir benefits from the Atlantic oceanic influence, which imparts a mineral character and distinctive freshness to these Galician wines.
Winemaking and Aging
Hand-harvesting in crates ensures that the grapes are picked at optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 15°C. The wine then benefits from a minimum aging of four months on fine lees, followed by clarification, cold stabilization, and sterile filtration before bottling.
Grape Variety
100% Albariño, the emblematic grape variety of Galicia, which here reveals its full Atlantic typicity and its ability to express the terroir's minerality.
