A Pauillac with beautiful aromas and concentrated flavour

Carruades de Lafite-Rothschild 2016 was produced under difficult growing circumstances. Summer began with a drought. For two months, the vines had to rely on their stored water. This heatwave lasted significantly longer than 2015. It wasn’t until September 13^th that rain fell from the sky. Weather remained warm and dry until the end of the harvest, allowing them to mature perfectly.

Carruades de Lafite-Rothschild 2016 is a blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The nose has aromas of very concentrated black fruits and tobacco. This Pauillac is rather sophisticated (a great representation of the terroir) with fine and well-integrated tannins. Freshness and precision are waiting for us in every sip. A classic and solid Carruades.
