A powerful, harmonious Madiran from Southwest France
The estate
Established in 1980, Château Bouscassé is a 50-hectare family estate located in Maumusson-Laguian, in the Madiran appellation, in the heart of Southwest France, on the Pyrenean foothills. Owned by Alain Brumont, an emblematic figure of the region, the estate draws on an exceptional terroir of fine mottled clays over fissured limestone, nicknamed « Pied de Côte de Saint-Émilion ». The vines, 20 to 100 years old, produce wines of powerful harmony, driven by Tannat. Since the 2018 vintage, management has been led by Antoine Veiry.
