Description
The Style and Personality of an Unmissable Grand Cru Classé
A 4th Classified Growth of the official classification of 1855, Château Branaire-Ducru is one of the most beautiful properties of the Médoc, specifically of the Saint-Julien appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux.
Fruit, freshness and elegance – these are the 3 key values that define Branaire-Ducru's "house signature" style, which is perfectly reflected in the new 2017 vintage.
Although the 2017 vintage was not without its challenges, the Château Branaire Ducru 2017 already reveals a vibrant and expressive personality and structure.
The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (65%) typical of the wines from the Médoc region. This signature varietal is completed by Merlot (24%), Cabernet Franc (4.5%) and Petit Verdot (6.5%).
Truly a wine of great character, the Château Branaire-Ducru 2017 reveals an olfactory palette that combines in harmony a fruit nature and great complexity. The wine expresses great freshness and elegance on the palate, following a bold attack. Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine a strong tannic structure, delicately chiseled by a great finesse and remarkable acidity. The finish offers beautiful length.
Heir to the signature style of the estate, the Château Branaire-Ducru 2017 promises to be one of the property’s very best vintages.
