A tight and firm wine with a solid core of fruit, featuring currant and cedar aromas and flavors. Medium body with firm tannins. Used to be Château Capbern-Gasqueton and not just Capbern. Almost all cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold.

91% Cabernet, 6% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. Lovely medicinal character, classic blackcurrant fruit, dry but not at all astringent. The tannins are grippy but welcoming. This suits its medium body – seems very restrained and traditional. Lovely! (RH)

Floral and light red berry aromas add a bit to this light, bright, red-berry wine. There isn’t much depth here. 82-84 pts

Lightly roasted nose, dark berries and tobacco. A well-structured palate with ample fruit, ripe tannins, fresh and rather long finish, classic and elegant.

Purple color of medium intensity with black highlights. Fruity, suave nose with elegant toasty notes. Well-built palate, suave at first, flavorful, and a touch firmer on the finish. It should be noted that it contains 91% Cabernet Sauvignon.
