Description
A seductively precise and aromatic Pauillac wine
The estate
In the heart of the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon is a perfect representative of its appellation. This 4th Classified Growth of Pauillac was founded in the 18th century under the leadership of the Lafite family, who covered Pauillac with vines at that time.
The vineyard
Duhart-Milon 2021 is a Pauillac wine that stems from a 76-hectare vineyard located to the west of Château Lafite-Rothschild. The soils are composed of fine gravel and aeolian sand upon tertiary limestone subsoils.
The vintage
2021 is a less sunny vintage which has enabled each terroir to express its nuances, including the young 5-year-old vines. The blend is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, resulting in a wine that reveals the estate’s signature identity and style, that is to say a pleasant framework and the expression of perfectly ripe fruit. The harvest took place from September 22nd to October 8th.
