The elegant power of a Pauillac Grand Cru Classé

The Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2010 is a powerful and racy wine that expresses all the typicity of the great terroirs of Pauillac, a prestigious appellation located on the Left Bank in the Bordeaux region.

The Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2010 is the estate’s first label and is the result of a plot selection of vines planted on a gravel and silica-gravel terroir.

The 2010 vintage is a great Bordeaux vintage and will remain a memorable year that highlights the quality of this Classified Growth.

The Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2010 is a blend dominated by the Left Bank’s emblematic black grape Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and complemented with Merlot (40%).

The Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2010 offers intensity and a concentrated aromatic bouquet that expresses pure fruit, sweet spicy notes and fresh liquorice notes. The wine unfolds with elegance on the palate to reveal structured tannins. The mouthfeel stretches to give a powerful and perfectly balanced finished. A lovely Pauillac with substantial ageing potential.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot is an up-front, seductively styled Pauillac (one of the more forward and evolved wines from this appellation in 2010). Deep purple, with exceptionally subtle texture and oodles of cassis fruit as well as hints of mocha and white chocolate, it is an elegant wine, but the overall impression is one of considerable flesh, fat and succulence. It will be hard to resist now, but can be cellared for another 15+ years.
