Chateau Gruaud Larose 2014, from vines averaging 46 years old, is 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. An intense ruby-tinted hue introduces this 2014 Saint-Julien with red fruits (cherry) scents, but also succulent almond paste, and flower -mainly jasmine notes. Fine, silky tannins underlying the fleshy palate bring lovely length. The finish is fragrant, fresh, and savoury.
