Château La Conseillante 2005

The Chateau La Conseillante is considered one of the most emblematic properties of Pomerol. The Chateau possesses a vineyard of 12 hectares divided in 18 micro-plots. The 2005 vintage is composed of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
The principal character of this 2005 vintage is the fact that every balance has been increased. Indeed, the wine is sweeter, more colourful, tangier, more aromatic, more tannic... all this thanks to a mastered yield (about 38hl/ha). The deeply coloured 2005 Chateau La Conseillante reveals a great aromatic and tannic finesse. More concentrated than usual, this is a great worth-keeping wine. The latter was aged in 100% new-ageing barrels which gave tannic strength, and fully revealed all its aromas.
