Château Laffitte Carcasset 2016: a harmonious and concentrated Saint-Estèphe
Château Laffitte Carcasset is a Cru Bourgeois from the Saint-Estèphe appellation from a 30-hectare vineyards with vines averaging 30 years of age. The vines benefit from a soil made up of Garonne gravel and clay-limestone subsoil. The wine is aged in barrels for 12 months. The Château Laffitte Carcasset 2016 blend is 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% press wine.
At tasting, Château Laffitte Carcasset 2016 develops fruity (black fruit, red plum) and oaky (cedar) aromas. The tannins are crunchy and pleasant in the mouth. The Château Laffitte Carcasset 2016 is a harmonious wine revealing a beautiful concentration and a well-integrated oak.
