The estate
Owned by Bernard Magrez, Château Les Grands Chênes is located in the Médoc, in Saint-Christoly du Médoc, on the left bank of Bordeaux. The estate's vineyard was built around a fortress dating from the 16th century.
The vineyard
The Château Les Grands Chênes vineyard covers 49 hectares of vines aged 40 on average and planted in soils of Garonne gravel. HVE certified, the Château Les Grands Chênes vineyard is cultivated by means of sustainable phytosanitary control.
The winemaking
Small-capacity, thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. Average maceration time: 28-30 days.
The ageing
14 months.
The blend
70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
