Description
A smooth red wine from Saint-Estèphe
Produced on a total surface area of 35 hectares, the Château Ormes de Pez is a classified red wine from Saint-Estèphe appellation, which benefits from a terroir composed of Garonne gravel. The 2006 vintage has a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc.
At tasting, the Château Ormes de Pez 2006 presents a splendid deep, dense colour before giving off red fruit aromas with blackcurrant and strawberry notes. It offers a frank attack on the palate where one can feel ample fruitiness and beautifully ripe, melted tannins. A wine from Saint-Estèphe with excellent ageing potential.
