Description
The Elegance and Precision of a Great White Burgundy Wine
The Estate
The estate's history dates back to 1965, when Pierre Duband founded the property in Burgundy. It was in 1991 that his son, David Duband, the current owner and winemaker, truly began production under his own name. Today, the estate spans 17 to 25 hectares across prestigious appellations. A committed advocate of organic viticulture, certified since 2006, David Duband is known for his minimalist, environmentally respectful approach, producing wines celebrated for their transparency and authentic expression of terroir.
The Vineyard
This wine from Burgundy comes from plots at altitudes ranging from 300 to 400 metres. The vines flourish on marl-limestone soils composed of clay and limestone. The vineyard is farmed organically, with natural grass cover between the rows to preserve microbial life and limit erosion, while rigorously controlling yields.
The Vintage
The 2023 vintage benefited from adequate rainfall during the crucial stages of vegetative growth, ensuring healthy vines. The end of the season provided ideal ripening conditions, allowing for the harvest of concentrated, perfectly ripe berries with a beautiful balance.
Winemaking and Aging
The grapes are hand-harvested with meticulous sorting of the bunches. Pressing is carried out gently to preserve the purity of the fruit. This Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits 2023 is aged in oak barrels, lending complexity and roundness, before resting in tanks to perfect the overall harmony.
