The property
Located in the Rhône Valley, the Domaine Combier pays rigorous attention to its vineyard in total respect of the terroir. As early as 1969, Maurice Combier, a visionary, thus converted his vineyard to Organic Agriculture. Laurent Combier, his son, accompanied by his wife, took over the estate in 1990 with the ambition to produce wines at the top of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation and reflecting with authenticity the expression of this exceptional terroir.

The vineyard
The Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée "L" from Domaine Combier comes from vines less than 15 years old as well as grapes purchased from partner winegrowers. Located between 100 and 150 meters above sea level, these Rhône Valley vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soil with rolled pebbles.

The wine
The
Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée "L" was created in 1999, the date of the installation of the ovoid concrete vats within the estate.

Vinification and aging
The harvest is manual with selective sorting. The destemming is total and the fermentation is carried out in a thermoregulated concrete vat. The wine is aged for 8 to 10 months, 70% in an ovoid concrete vat and 30% in barrels and half-muid over 8 years old.

The Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée "L" 2023 from Domaine Combier is a 100% Syrah.
