The estate
Founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, Domaine de la Mordorée spans 42 hectares in the Rhône Valley, across eight communes including Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Lirac. After Christophe’s passing in 2015, Madeleine Delorme and their daughter Ambre now oversee this family estate. The domaine stands out for its full biodynamic commitment since 2020 and its ornithological philosophy, with cuvées bearing evocative names inspired by the woodcock.
The vineyard
Tableau de Terroir "Les Galets" is a white Vin de France from an exceptional terroir of rounded pebbles that impart the wine’s hallmark minerality. The vineyard has been certified Organic Agriculture since 2013 and Demeter Biodynamics since 2020, underscoring the estate’s environmental commitment.
Winemaking and aging
Tableau de Terroir "Les Galets" Grenache Blanc 2024 is crafted using organic methods that respect the fruit. Harvesting and sorting are done entirely by hand to preserve optimal grape quality. After destemming and crushing, the grapes undergo direct pressing with temperature control to preserve aromatic finesse.
Grape variety
This wine is made from 100% Grenache Blanc, a Mediterranean variety that thrives on the rounded-pebble terroirs of the Rhône Valley.
