The estate
The Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils, founded in 1920 by Arsène Amiot in Chassagne-Montrachet in Bourgogne, spans 29 appellations including the prestigious Grand Cru Le Montrachet. Now managed by Thierry and Fabrice Amiot with the involvement of Héloise (fifth generation), the estate stands out for its exceptional female heritage, honored since 2015 by the cuvées "Flavie" and "Simone". A pioneer of estate bottling as early as the 1930s, it cultivates mainly chardonnay and pinot noir on exceptional terroirs such as Les Caillerets and Les Vergers.
The vineyard
The "Les Caillerets" plot covers 0.66 hectare and benefits from a particularly favorable southeast exposure. Located on a steep slope with poor clay-limestone soils, it allows the vine roots to penetrate deeply into the limestone subsoil. The 70-year-old vines enjoy generous sunshine and the proximity of the limestone bedrock to the roots, ideal conditions for expressing chardonnay on this terroir of Chassagne-Montrachet.
