The Estate
Located on the foothills of the Alps and surrounded by majestic Provençal landscapes, the Domaine Saint-Andrieu charms with its 18th-century bastide and its wines crafted in a state-of-the-art cellar.
Owned since 2003 by Jean-Paul and Nancy Bignon, also owners of Château Talbot, a major name in the Saint-Julien appellation, Domaine Saint-Andrieu's vineyard covers 30 hectares at an elevation of 380 meters. A continental microclimate and numerous springs providing ample water resources are ideal conditions to ensure the vineyard's optimal development.
In a constant quest for excellence in producing cuvées that authentically express their terroir and respect nature, Domaine Saint-Andrieu has been certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) since June 2017.
The Vineyard
Located at 380 meters elevation in the Coteaux Varois en Provence, the vineyard benefits from a clay-limestone terroir that gives the wines their characteristic minerality. This altitude brings natural freshness to the grapes, allowing the production of rosés that are both expressive and balanced, perfectly representative of this appellation known for the finesse of its wines.
The Vintage
The 2024 vintage was marked by a mild spring followed by a dry, hot summer, ideal conditions for the optimal development of the grapes. The harvest, carried out between September 1st and 15th, allowed for harvesting grapes at perfect maturity while preserving their natural freshness.
Vinification and Aging
The berries destined for this rosé undergo gentle direct pressing followed by vinification at a controlled temperature of 16°C and parcel-based fermentation.
Blend
Grenache (52%), Syrah (22%), Cinsault (20%) and Rolle (6%).
