An exceptional terroir in the heart of Provence
Location and exposure
The Estoublon vineyard stretches across the heart of the Alpilles, benefiting from an ideal Mediterranean climate and a privileged exposure, protected by the Paon and Valence mountains. The vines, planted at altitudes of up to 450 metres, benefit from this location to bring freshness and balance to these Provence wines.
Geology
The soils, mainly clay-limestone, are deep and well-drained, sometimes enriched with fragments of basalt. This geological diversity imparts fine minerality and great aromatic complexity to the wines.
Climate
Typically Provençal, the climate is sunny and tempered by the mistral wind, while the cool nights—thanks to the altitude—allow for a slow and harmonious ripening of the grapes.
Farming practices and sustainable commitment
The estate’s crops are cultivated according to organic farming principles, without the use of insecticides and using exclusively organic fertilisers. Natural grass cover is encouraged, while the grazing of 800 ewes and 650 lambs actively contributes to the preservation of biodiversity. In addition, the estate protects rare species, such as Bonelli’s eagle, and ensures the conservation of local ecosystems and wildlife.
Winemaking and ageing
The wines are vinified with great precision, through direct pressing, alcoholic fermentation at low temperature and ageing on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, concrete vats or wood, depending on the cuvée.
The style of Château d’Estoublon wines
Château d’Estoublon produces rosé, white and red wines, focusing on elegance, freshness and complexity. Renowned for their minerality, finesse and balance, the estate’s wines fully express the richness of their terroir.
The grape varieties grown on the estate include grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, cabernet sauvignon, cinsault, marsanne, roussanne and rolle, also known as vermentino.
Roseblood (white and rosé), freshness as its emblem
Roseblood Blanc charms with its liveliness and its nose blending citrus and floral notes. The palate, both fresh and dynamic, reveals a taut finish, offering a white wine that is both expressive and elegant.
Roseblood Rosé stands out with its pale hue tinged with peach reflections and its delicate nose. On the palate, its vivacity and minerality harmonise with citrus notes, tangy red fruits and a pleasant freshness.
1489 Roseblood (white and rosé), wines of gastronomy
1489 Roseblood Blanc reveals a nose that is both spicy and fruity, followed by a palate with remarkable tension, subtly balanced by barrel ageing. Its elegant finish unfolds with finesse, delivering a complex wine with great freshness and fine ageing potential.
1489 Roseblood Rosé displays a pale robe and notes of red fruit and floral hints. The palate is pure and balanced, combining freshness and generosity, with a lingering finish. This is a complex, refined and gastronomic rosé wine.
