A fresh and balanced wine from the southern Rhône Valley
The Estate
Committed to an artisanal viticulture respectful of the terroir and the environment, the Famille Perrin has over the vintages become a benchmark among the great Rhône Valley wines. A pioneer in the innovative approach to organic agriculture since 1950 and biodynamics since 1974, Famille Perrin crafts great wines recognized beyond borders for their quality and refinement.
The vineyard
Les Christins de la Famille Perrin is a Vacqueyras wine from the southern Rhône Valley. This 8-hectare terroir with vines averaging 50 years of age is characterized by its clayey, sandy soils and the pebbles of the Ouvèze.
The vintage
The 2022 vintage was marked by contrasting climatic conditions, with a dry winter and spring followed by a hot summer, but timely rains in mid-August promoted progressive ripening of the grapes. Despite heterogeneity in yields across the plots, sanitary quality was excellent.
Winemaking and Aging
Hand-harvested, the grapes are sorted and destemmed. The long malolactic fermentation in tanks undergoes manual punchdowns for extraction. Aged for 1 year in wooden vats and large oak casks.
Blend
Grenache and Syrah
