An Exceptional Burgundian Monopole by Jean Chartron
The Estate
Founded in 1859 by Jean-Edouard Dupard, cooper and mayor of Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Jean Chartron cultivates 14.5 hectares in Bourgogne on the terroirs of Puligny-Montrachet and surrounding communes, producing 23 different appellations. Under the direction of Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure Chartron, brother and sister representing the fifth generation, the estate has established itself among the essential references of the Côte de Beaune.
The Vineyard
The Clos de La Pucelle is an exceptional monopole of Domaine Jean Chartron at the heart of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation. This privileged terroir rests on the region's typical clay-limestone soils, offering the ideal conditions for the flourishing of chardonnay and the expression of the minerality so characteristic of the great white wines of Bourgogne.
