The property
Located in Villié-Morgon, in the heart of the Morgon appellation, the Domain Jean Foillard farms the prestigious terroirs of Côte du Py and Corcelette, as well as plots in Fleurie. Jean Foillard took over the family estate of 8 hectares in 1981, inspired by Marcel Lapierre, to adopt natural viticulture and practices as close as possible to organic farming.
A pioneer of natural wine, the estate perpetuates a faithful and authentic style. Today, the estate extends over 20 hectares and its wines, of rare precision, place it among the elite of Beaujolais.
The vineyard
This Cuvée Corcelette 2022 is a Morgon wine from vineyards located in the north of the appellation, resting on soils composed of sandy sandstone.
Vinification and aging
Manual harvest before cold maceration. Cuvaison for about 3 to 4 weeks. No use of artificial yeasts. Aging in oak barrels on lees. Bottling without filtration.
