Description
2013 Saint-Estephe Second Wine from Chateau Montrose, Bordeaux.
Located on a vineyard of 95 hectares, the Chateau Montrose offers unquestionable natural riches. The Second Wine La Dame de Montrose is produced from young vines. This 2013 is a subtle blend of 69% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Petit Verdot.
The purple-tinted bright ruby coloured wine reveals a still discreet yet fresh nose with wood and red berry notes. On swirl, the 2013 La Dame de Montrose reveals smoke and tobacco notes. The attack is fresh and followed by blackberry and blackcurrant notes. On the mid-palate, liquorice aromas are felt. The very silky structure brings a harmonious persistence to the wine.
