Description
A Bordeaux Dry White wine that entices with its freshness and aromatic expression
The estate
Château de Rayne Vigneau is located in the commune of Bomme, overlooking the Sauternes appellation. Created in the 17th century, the estate has passed through the hands of several illustrious families such as the de Pontac family, closely linked to the great wines of Bordeaux. Today the château belongs to the Trésor du Patrimoine group.
The vineyard
Château de Rayne Vigneau oversees an 84-hectare vineyard placed on a single hilltop above the Sauternes appellation. This very diverse terroir extends over clay and gravel soils on the higher ground, while at lower altitudes the vines are planted on clay and sandy soils with subsoils of lacustrine limestone. The vineyard is led with sustainable cultivation and an intra-plot management.

Produced in the Bordeaux Dry White wines appellation, this Le Sec de Rayne Vigneau wine is developed from vines on average 25 years old.
Winemaking and ageing
Harvested by hand, the grapes were given a delicate pressing. Vinification in oak vats, as was ageing with regular stirring.
