The producer
The iconic name of the great wines of the Northern Rhône Valley, the Paul Jaboulet-Aîné estate was founded in 1834 in Tain L'Hermitage. Renowned wine-grower and winemaker Caroline Frey runs this illustrious estate, owned by the Frey family since 2006. The Paul Jaboulet Aîné estate watches over a vineyard of 125 hectares, spread over exceptional appellations such asSaint-Joseph,Crozes-Hermitage,Hermitage, Cornas,Châteauneuf-du-Pape,Côte-Rôtie,CondrieuandMuscat of Beaumes-de-Venise.
The vineyard
The cuvée Les Cèdres by the Paul Jaboulet-Aîné estate is derived from the most famous appellation of the Southern Rhone Valley: Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This exceptional terroir is implanted on a very rocky soil made for the most part of rolled pebbles and sandy red clay.
Blend
Les Cèdres 2006 by Paul Jaboulet-Eléné is a wine made from a blend of Grenache (70%), Cinsault (15%), Syrah (10%) and Mourvèdre (5%).
Tasting
Colour
The wine is a beautiful red ruby brilliant colour.
Nose
Intense and complex, the nose mixes fragrances of ripe red fruits, sweet spices and a hint of garrigue.
Palate
The palate is powerful and warm. Spicy, woody notes combine with a finish of beautiful persistence.
