Wine Spectator

Raspberry with a light vanilla character. Medium-bodied, with light tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.

Strangely brown at the rim, like its stablemate Tertre Roteboeuf. Very little nose. Light, sweet with inky tannins. Gawky at this stage. (JR)

Like opening a jar of truffles and tasting ripe cherries, this was quite a nice surprise.

Rather dark garnet. Pronounced red plum bouquet, milk chocolate. Notes of elderberry, rosehip tea. On the palate – as with Tertre-Rôtebœuf from the same house – a slightly sharp acidity reminiscent of blackcurrant skins, slightly dry tannins, leathery extract. It can still gain in depth, provided the wine does not tend to dry out.

Good bright red. Exotic aromas of cherry and dried rose, with a slightly roasted quality. Rich, sweet and lush; fat with jammy fruit but firmed by an edge of acidity. Very ripe and sweet but with sufficient structure to maintain its shape.
