Marks and reviews
Passionate about both wine and terroirs, Michel Tardieu and his wife created the Tardieu Laurent estate in 1996. Over the years, this estate has become an essential reference among the most beautiful wine bottlings in the Rhône Valley.
For two generations, this family estate has been enhancing the vineyards of many iconic appellations (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Condrieu, Hermitage, Vacqueyras, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, etc.) by producing aromatic and delicate wines, that are the result of a rigorous vinification process.
Planted on a tapestry of terroirs (Plateau de Mont Redon, les Bédines, la Crau, Cabrières, Pignan), the vines are between 40 and 80 years old (Grenache and Mourvèdre: 60 to 80 years old, Syrah: 40 years old) and produce fine Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines.
Vinification and ageing
50% of the grapes are destemmed before the vinification process. The wine is aged for 10 months in first and second-fill barrels, then 12 months in tuns from the Allier and Tronçais forests.
This 2018 Châteauneuf-du-Pape by Tardieu Laurent comprises a blend of Grenache (75%), Syrah (15%) and Mourvèdre (10%).
