Description
A red wine from Mercurey 1er Cru with round, ripe tannins
The Mercurey 1er Cru "Clos des Ruelles" of Château de Chamirey is a Pinot Noir red wine produced in the Mercurey 1er Cru appellation. The vineyard is planted on a clay-limestone soil, which is predominantly clayey. The wine is aged in oak barrels, half of which are new.
At tasting, the Mercurey 1er Cru "Clos des Ruelles" 2006 of château de Chamirey develops a heady and rich nose. Full-bodied and spicy with peppery flavors on the palate, the wine reveals a nice finish with ripe and beautifully round tannins. To be consumed before 2023-2025.
