Description
A flamboyant red wine from Saint-Emilion
Produced on a total area of 27 hectares in the Saint-Emilion appellation, Château Soutard is a Grand Cru Classé offering a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The terroir is rich, composed of clay-limestone plateaus, clay hillsides and a sandy coastline.
The Château Soutard 1994 has a very dark, almost black colour, which gives off an intense nose of Asian spices, earth, smoke and black fruit. On the palate, it reveals structured tannins and low acidity. A smooth, chewy, flamboyant wine.
