Description
Condrieu Brèze 2014 of Louis Chèze: an extraordinarily balanced white wine
A single-varietal Viognier white wine produced in the Condrieu appellation, the Condrieu Brèze by Louis Chèze benefits from a vineyard of 2 hectares aged 30 years on average. The vines are planted on soils composed of old granite and alluvium from the Ice Age. The wine is aged over 8 to 10 months depending on the vintage, in new oak barrels and barrels of 2 to 3 previous wines.
At tasting, the Condrieu Brèze 2014 by Louis Chèze presents a golden colour, crystalline and clear. The nose gives off fragrances of great complexity, offering fruity (apricot) and honeydew aromas. The attack is frank and straight in the mouth, expressing an explosion of aromas and good balance. The Condrieu Brèze 2014 has a long finish and reveals flavours of honey, as well as more mineral touches.
