A white wine from Burgundy combining freshness and minerality
The estate
Founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot in Monthélie, the House of Albert Bichot is today an essential reference in Burgundy, with over 100 hectares of vines spread across six prestigious estates. Under the direction of Albéric Bichot, this family business owns a remarkable heritage, including 13 hectares of Grands Crus and 26 hectares of Premiers Crus. A pioneer in organic viticulture, the House combines centuries-old tradition with modernity, enhancing the regional heritage.
The vineyard
The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits comes from vines located west of the Côte de Nuits at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters. The plots benefit from a south to east exposure on clay-limestone soils. The harsher climate of this zone leads to later and slower ripening than in the Côte de Nuits, giving the wines a fresh and fruity style marked by lively acidity.
Winemaking and aging
The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits 2022 is produced using methods that respect the fruit. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees for 9 to 11 months. Aging takes place 70% in stainless steel vats and 30% in oak barrels, preserving freshness while imparting subtle complexity.
Grape variety
This white wine is made from 100% Chardonnay.
