Description
2011 Moulis Cru Bourgeois, Bordeaux.
Located on an exceptional terroir in the heart of the Moulis appellation, the Chateau Brillette vineyard stretches over 40 hectares. The Chateau gets its name from the small gravels that give a particular glare to the vineyard when the sun shines. This 2011 is 48% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
The wine displays a charming, deep garnet colour. The nose is fruity, followed by strong and vibrant notes of raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. The first hints due to the ageing are subtle and melted. The 2011 Chateau Brillette reveals a fresh and fruity attack. The tannins give some length and elegance to the wine.
