Description
The authentic expression of a Grand Cru from Saint-Émilion
The estate
The Château Corbin Michotte was once a great feudal estate. In the Saint-Émilion appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château Corbin Michotte was elevated to Grand Cru status over its centuries-old history.
The vineyard
The 7-hectare vineyard of Château Corbin Michotte is located on gravelly soils north of Saint-Émilion, adjacent to Pomerol. The vines are on average 50 years old. The vineyard even includes a century-old plot. The vines are planted on brown-grey sandy-silty soils resting on a very iron-rich sandy-clay subsoil with surface gravel. The vineyard is thus distinguished by its great richness in trace elements and barium.
Vinification and aging
Hand harvesting. Manual sorting on a table. Thermo-regulated vinification. Extended maceration. Native yeasts. Aging for 22 to 24 months in stainless steel tanks (60%) and barrels (40%).
Blend
Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
