Description
A Mercurey 1er Cru white wine, woody on the palate
Produced from a plot of 1.92 hectares, the Mercurey 1er Cru "The Mission" of Château de Chamirey is a single-varietal Chardonnay white wine from the Mercurey 1er Cru appellation. Enjoying eastern expsure, the vines are planted on a terrace of rocks and limestone. The wine is matured in oak barrels (20% of which are new).
The Mercurey 1er Cru "The Mission" 2015 of Château de Chamirey displays a sublime gold colour with greenish reflections. Complex and spicy, the nose develops aromas of limes, yellow fruits, citrus fruits, vanilla and brioche, along with a subtle note of caramel. Woody on the palate, the wine reveals a long finish and a beautiful aromatic persistence.
